Born and bred a Presbyterian, I grew up in Pitman, New Jersey, and attended First Presbyterian Church of Pitman with my family. First Presbyterian is the church of my baptism, confirmation and first community of faith that set me up for a life walking with God in the way of Jesus Christ.
I served six years in the U.S. Marine Corps. Fortunately, most of my duty was in Scotland at a joint US-UK base, RAF Edzell. I had my pick of Presbyterian Churches! After returning to civilian life, I also returned to Scotland for a master’s in history at the University of Aberdeen. Home beckoned and I began teaching, but I found my greatest joy, not in teaching, but in doing the work of the church. I have been a VBS director, Sunday school teacher, moderator of Presbyterian Women and an Elder serving on session. My pastors encouraged me to explore seminary and there I found where God was calling me, ordained ministry as a Teaching Elder.
I have worked as a Chaplain at Ancora State Psychiatric Hospital and have served three churches in the West Jersey Presbytery, each in various stages of transition.
On July 20, 2019 I began my work as pastor of Presbyterian Church of the Covenant.
My husband, David Wible, is an arborist with his own tree service. David and I live in a fixer-upper in Pitman. David has two children, Brianna and David, my step-children – the children of my heart. Brianna has graduated from Rowan University with a degree in PR, but she prefers to use her art minor in her work. David is completing his undergraduate degree in music at Swarthmore College.
Quilting, reading, biking, hiking and photography are high on the list of things I love to do. My husband, David, and I sing in a community choir together. We have an organic garden at home with a beautiful fig tree at its center. I grow things and David eats them! We both love coffee. (I really, really love coffee.) Brianna and I love to take road trips and roughing it. The two Dave’s prefer air conditioning and TV at home but we all enjoy art and music.
There is always room at our table and in our home for animals, family and friends old and new.
