Director of Music at the Presbyterian Church of the Covenant- Ryan M. Pryslak
Ryan Pryslak, PCOC’s Director of Music has been involved in music in Delaware since he was in grade school. He is a graduate of the University of Delaware with a Bachelor of Arts in Music, a major in voice with a minor in church music and has studied with Patrick Evans and Nicole Aldrich (voice), Sharon Parker and David Herman (piano/organ) and Paul Head (choral conducting). Mr. Pryslak joins the church with a lengthy roster of experience leading vocal groups, choirs and handbell ensembles. Ryan was the founder and director of The Opus One Vocal Arts as well as The Mid Atlantic Chamber Singers. He previously has sung professionally at Trinity Episcopal Church in Wilmington, DE, with the Cathedral Choir School of Delaware, and with UD Opera Theatre. He has also directed a choir of professional voices during special Holy Week services for the past 12 years at St. Nicholas Ukrainian Catholic Church. Previously, Mr. Pryslak was the Choirmaster at St. Andrews Presbyterian Church, Newark DE where he directed the Chancel Choir and Handbell Ensemble.
Ryan and his lovely wife Jessica are parents to an active 5 year-old son named Greyson and beautiful 12 month baby girl named Addison. He is employed full time at a large financial firm and resides within our local community.
